Which Windows services are Switch King responsible for?
Switch King Server consists of several services. The services are using ports when communicating with the clients.

Switch King Invocation Service (port 8082)
Switch King Data Collector Service (ingen port)
Switch King REST Service (port 8800)

Service description
Switch King Framework Service
This service is used by the clients connecting to Switch King. The most common example is the Windows client, but it can also be a web application.
If the service is stopped, the clients cannot connect to the server and no changes can be committed to the database.
Switch King Invocation Service
This service is responsible for keeping track of scheduled events and sending signals to devices. This service is depending on Switch King Framework Service.
If ths service is stopped, no signals will be sent to your devices and the client will not get information about historic or upcoming events.
Switch King Data Collector Service
This service is responsible for collecting data from flat files or from the Internet. The information collected is stored in the database. This service is depending on Switch King Framework Service.
If you don't have any external data sources, you can shut down this service.
Switch King REST Service
This service is used by REST clients (and will be used for future extensions). This service is depending on Switch King Framework Service.
If you don't have any extensions installed, you can shut down this service.
