I get "500.22" on the web server after installing an extension

After installing an extension, you might encounter the following error message:

HTTP Error 500.22 - Internal Server Error
An ASP.NET setting has been detected that does not apply in Integrated managed pipeline mode.

The error is due to that the file web.config that is supplied in the extension package, does not fully support the version of the IIS you are currently using.
Further down in the page, there should be additional information about where in the configuration file the error is found.

Example of error information is:

This application defines the configuration in the section system.web/httpModules.

To solve the problem, the sections

<httpHandlers>

and

<httpModules>

need to be commented out.
